Conduct Policies

Appropriate Age Recommendations

Performances are recommended for a general audience, unless otherwise noted. As an advisory to adults who might bring children, the Morrison Center recommends its productions for ages 6 and up. Children under the age of 4 are strongly discouraged from attending unless specifically noted. All guests entering the theatre, regardless of age, require a ticket. Latecomers will be seated at the discretion of Management.

Appropriate Attire

There is no specific dress code for the Center. Business or cocktail attire is recommended. As in any public venue, the “no shoes, no shirt, no service” rule applies.

Controlled Substances

The Morrison Center reserves the right to refuse entry to patrons appearing to be under the influence of, or found to be in possession of any controlled substance.

First Aid

In case of emergency, the Center’s policy is to contact 911. In addition, two Automated External Defibrillators (AED) are located on site.

Food and Beverages

No food or beverages (except bottled water purchased at the venue) are allowed in the auditorium. Items not purchased at the Center are prohibited. Personal water and/or beverage bottles are prohibited in the venue.

Alcohol Sales: The State Board of Education requires a valid ID for alcohol sales. All adult beverages must remain on the premises.

Lost and Found

Lost and found articles will be held in the main office for 30 days after the performance. Please contact the office at 208-426-1609 for information.

Photography and Video Recording

Due to copyright laws, recording devices of any kind are not permitted in the auditorium.

Screening & Confiscation

In order to maintain a safe and secure environment, pursuant to University Policy, Section XII, the Morrison Center reserves the right to search all bags. Clutches or purses no larger than 14×14 are permitted. Large purses, tote bags, backpacks and fanny packs are strongly discouraged and prohibited for most shows. The Morrison Center facility has been designated as a guns-free environment.

The BSU Campus is a non-smoking (including e-products indoors) campus. The Morrison Center has a designated patron smoking area. Please see House Management for location.
