The Boise State University Symphony Orchestra celebrates the powerful connections between music, place, and home in “‘Suite’ and Lasting Impressions of Home.” From the sweeping patriotism of Sibelius’ Finlandia and the vivid Norwegian landscapes of Grieg’s Peer Gynt to the folk traditions of Smetana, Vaughan Williams, and Copland, the program explores the many ways composers have drawn inspiration from the countries, cultures, and traditions closest to them.
The concert will also feature one of our 2027 Concerto-Aria Competition winners and culminates with Arturo Márquez’s exhilarating Danzón No. 2, a vibrant celebration of Mexican dance and rhythm.
Join the Boise State University Symphony Orchestra on Wednesday, February 17 at 7:30 p.m. in the Morrison Center Main Hall for a musical journey across cultures—and a celebration of the sounds that remind us of home.

- Parking is included with ticket purchase. See www.MorrisonCenter.com for more information regarding parking and upcoming events.
- Boise State University students, staff and faculty are eligible for one (1) complimentary ticket with valid ID. BSU tickets are available in person at the Morrison Center Ticket Office only.
- Sunday Deal – Save $1.00 per ticket when purchasing both shows on 11/15/26, or 4/18/27. Tickets must be purchased at the same time from the Morrison Center Ticket Office to be eligible for discount.
- Everyone through the door, regardless of age, requires a ticket.
- No professional cameras or recording devices will be allowed without prior written permission.
- No outside food/beverage.
- No large bags will be admitted. All guests and their bags are subject to inspection.
