Community Spotlight
This week's nonprofit: PATTY DUKE THEATRE PROGRAM
The Patty Duke Theatre Program is central to the Morrison Center's Arts Education department and celebrates excellence in high school musical theater across Idaho. Through professional feedback, workshops, training, and mentorship from Broadway and theater professionals, the program gives students opportunities to grow as artists, build confidence, and develop skills that extend far beyond the stage. Each year, two outstanding students are also selected to represent Idaho at the National High School Musical Theatre Awards — The Jimmy Awards — in New York City. The program also has strong ties right here in Meridian — Owyhee High School and Mountain View High School were both recognized for Outstanding Musical Theater Productions at the 2026 Patty Duke Awards.
