PINES OF ROME
(season finale)
Conductor Eric Garcia
Be swept up in the infectious energy of Javelin, an audience favorite originally composed for the Olympics by American composer Michael Torke. Be dazzled by the keyboard gymnastics of Rachmaninoff’s Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini performed by Stewart Goodyear, “one of the best pianists of his generation” (Philadelphia Inquirer). Be immersed in the shimmering grace and beauty of Respighi’s Fountains of Rome before being swallowed whole by Pines of Rome, the majestic finale to our 2025-26 season.
PRE-CONCERT TALK
Join Musicologist Bradley Berg and Music Director Eric Garcia (and special guests) as they guide you through the music you are about to hear, providing an enlightening look at the repertoire and composers before the performance begins.
