A Vision for the Future: Celebrating Morrison Center Leadership and Growth

Building on a record-breaking Broadway in Boise season and strengthening our connection with the community, we’re also honoring the visionary leadership that continues to shape the Center’s impact—on campus, throughout the Treasure Valley, and across the state.

Recently recognized as one of Idaho’s most influential leaders, Executive Director Laura Kendall is guiding the Morrison Center through an extraordinary period of growth, transformation, and purpose.

Under Laura’s direction:

  • The Morrison Center has experienced record attendance and subscriptions during the Broadway in Boise season.

  • Our education and engagement programs are inspiring the next generation of artists and arts supporters.

  • We’ve made significant progress on major capital projects that will enhance the overall patron experience and ensure our facility meets the needs of an evolving audience.

  • As Idaho’s only Tony Awards® voter, Laura makes sure our state’s voice is heard on Broadway’s most prestigious stage.

“Arts and culture have the power to bring people together in ways few other things can,” says Kendall. “At the Morrison Center, we focus on creating shared experiences—moments of joy, inspiration, and connection that remind us what community truly means. As we look forward, I’m excited about the opportunities we have to grow, evolve, and continue making the performing arts accessible for all Idahoans.”

With Laura at the helm, the Morrison Center remains a cultural cornerstone for Boise and beyond—welcoming hundreds of thousands of patrons each year and hosting over 250 performances, from Broadway to ballet to community events.

This next chapter promises even more innovation, accessibility, and impact—all rooted in the same commitment that has guided the Morrison Center for nearly four decades: to bring people together through the transformative power of the performing arts.

Stay tuned. The best is yet to come.
